Farm liability insurance

Smart thinking!

If you’re active in the farming industry, it’s a good idea to invest in a good self-insurance for general liability, if you take into account what legal proceedings can cost.

Suppose that you are held legally responsible for wounds or damage caused by your products or for an accident on the premises of your company or on those of your client: if you are well insured, your insurance policy will cover money damage granted in court to compensate third parties, as well as legal expenses defense and the costs of claim settling, up to the maximum amount at risk.

Your self-insurance for general liability covers four types of claims:

  • Material losses or damages
  • Personal injuries causing material losses or damages
  • Personal injuries (including verbal slandering or defamatory libel)
  • Medical expenses
